College Family Farm is a retired Maine Farm situated on eleven beautiful acres in the quaint country Upper Village of New Gloucester.
The perfect blend of rustic elegance
Built in 1870, our beautiful colonial style farmhouse offers couples the unique opportunity to spend a long intimate weekend with their closet friends and family. Arrive and unwind on Thursday, decorate at your leisure on Friday, host a fun-filled rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, enjoy a beautiful wedding day, and wake up at your leisure for departure on Sunday.
The farmhouse itself consists of elegantly decorated bedrooms with vintage furniture, an eat-in kitchen, a spacious livingroom with attached bar area, and a farmhouse style porch. The first floor bridal suite has a private bathroom with clawfoot soaker tub. The third floor has a beautiful sitting area, wall-to-wall built-in vanity, mirrors, beautiful lighting, and wrought iron antique dress hooks; the perfect setting for the bride and her attendants to get ready and relax.
What was once a functioning chicken barn, workshop, and farm stand, is now a beautifully restored structure perfect for your wedding day, corporate event, or other celebration. The rustic 40x50 barn can seat up to 125 guests for a family style dinner and INCLUDES farmhouse tables and a vintage mix of chairs to use and compliment any wedding style. The back of the barn slides open to a beautiful view of the woods (perfect for inclement weather), the live edge reclaimed wood bar, at the back left, is perfect for your cocktail hour and reception bar service, and the loft has been transformed into a 'gentleman's loft' complete with a chocolate leather living room set for the groom and his groomsmen to escape and relax while guests arrive.
For weddings with over 125 guests, the two acre lawn next to the barn is the perfect country setting for a white wedding tent to host dinner and dancing. In the event of a tented dinner, the barn could then be used for your ceremony with the isle lined with our white wedding benches. The back opening could be beautifully arched with flowers which would make a gorgeous spot to exchange your vows. For an outside ceremony, we have two arbors that you are welcome to use and 18 white wedding benches at no additional charge. After your ceremony, whether inside or out, the barn could be used for your cocktail hour while the wedding party escapes to the lawn for photos. The barn is also the perfect spot for your rehearsal dinner! We have several 200 guest weddings booked so larger weddings are just as perfect as 75 guest celebrations!!!
The lawn is home to a fire pit with white adirondack chairs, space for your lawn games, outside bar, and weather permitting, a great green space for dancing to your favorite band or DJ. The steel hay conveyor from the barn was removed and repurposed as a permanent outside bar. The walkway from the barn to the house leads guests out to the lawn area with a deck for gathering, relaxing, and mingling.
The Historic former Union Meeting House in Gray has new life once again after undergoing massive restoration and renovations.
We are thrilled to be able to offer use of this amazing building for events, weddings and community functions. Our hope is that it will once again be a meeting and gathering spot for the Gray-New Gloucester community as it once was and witness the union of couples once again!
Built in 1830 on Shaker Road, the building was used as a meeting house and Baptist Church until 1983 when it became an antique shop. Since the renovation, this beautiful and historic property more closely resembles its original design, including stained glass windows and many more intricate details.
Coolidge Chapel is a perfect place to say your "I do's", host a bridal or baby shower, networking event, dinner party, or other community gathering.
In addition to our beautiful venue, we also want to offer our brides as many other services as we can to make the planning process that much easier and affordable. We know what it takes (and costs) to plan the day of your dreams (having planned our own in three short months), so we want to make this as one-stop shop as possible. The less vendors you have to search for and hire, the easier. The services listed below are in addition to the venue fee, but less expensive than the same services provided by outside vendors. We can also refer a handful of preferred vendors for services we do not offer such as caterers, photographers, bands, DJs, florists, hair and makeup artists, and whatever else you can imagine to make your day truly unique.
